Talk about White Trash Wonderful! Melissa had a party on Friday night - trailer park themed! Check it out: we're all white-trashed out, drinking PBR, smoking cigs and eating twinkies / pigs in a blanket / bean dip. It was lovely!

Yesterday, this girl named Maia came to town to meet me. She's moving to Nanjing in August to teach at a foreign language school. She got my email address from the lady who hired us both from the Department of Education. We had coffee, went out for burritos, and played a few rounds of Scene It. We got along really well! I'm excited to have an American friend in China.

Then I had poker night last night. We only had 4 players because I planned it at the last minute! Me, Dan, Ryan, Zach. Dan was the first to lose, Zach followed soon after, but Ryan and I went head-to-head until 1:30 a.m.!! Finally, he had pocket Kings and I had a 3-8 suited in diamonds... and he went all in. So I matched him, and the cards came down like: King diamonds, 8 clubs, 5 spades, 7 diamonds, 4 diamonds. That gave him 3 Kings, but it gave me a FLUSH! Talk about a BAD BEAT! :) I got lucky. I went in on a 3-8 because I was tired. Turned out well for me though!

Now my plan today is to wash and photograph the scooter. You know what that means?! He's going up for sale! I also have laundry to do, I need to run to the hardware store, and I need to buy some groceries. I'll be kind of busy! Then Kirsten and I are going out for dinner tonight.

Annnd holy cow, I'm moving SOON. Next weekend I'm going camping. The weekend after that, I want to have the last poker night. The weekend after that, I'm having my going-away party. The weekend after that, I'm Kirsten's date to her brother's wedding. Then I'm gone! :-D Holy fucking shit, I'm actually MOVING TO CHINA. That's exciting.
