Last night was poker night. I was the second person out! I lost pretty bad. Shelby won overall, Dan got second, Skyler got third. I was playing a pretty shitty game of poker, I just kept betting on bad hands. :)
Ummm, haven't been up to much else lately!
I was reading some reviews on recruiting programs for teachers in China - it sounds like the consensus from other teachers is that it's better to NOT use a recruiting company. I'm looking for specific schools in China where I might want to teach, and I'm just going to contact them directly with my resume. That sounds like it works well.
Kim and I talked a little bit this morning about falling for each other and me moving to China. I was pretty awkward, but I didn't really know what to say. I like her, but moving to China is something I want to do for ME. I've always wanted to just take my life and go somewhere interesting... now I've got the chance! It's just weird dating her while knowing that we're kind of on an abbreviated time schedule. I told her to keep her emotional distance from me, mostly just joking, of course. I don't know though - we're in a weird spot!
Man, I haven't done anything productive all weekend. I love it! I got my W-2's but don't want to do my taxes until CSU sends me my 1098-T form just in case I can claim my tuition as an AGI deduction. (Usually I can't - because if I do, I have to claim my scholarship as income which makes my taxes even higher! Damn government thought of everything when it comes to taxes.)
