Life is good. Work is going well - I published my new Math Department website yesterday! http://www.math.colostate.edu. It looks a lot like my College of Natural Science page. Soon, most of the departments in the College will have that same look!
My Chinese employer found me a "stay at home" family for the month that I'll be homeless between my summer program and my apartment at Jiangsu University. The family is a Dad (fluent in English), a Mom, and their 9-year-old son. They live in Zhenjiang (the city I'll be working in for almost a year), so it will be nice to have somebody to show me around and teach me the neighborhood before I settle into my own place.
I installed Ubuntu at work on my computer. I like it, but I can't figure out how to configure my network so I can have internet access through it. I keep booting in Windows anyway! I think I'm going to install it here, too.
It's almost time to apply for my visa and sell my scooter! Those are the LAST steps before my big move to China. I'm glad gas is expensive, it makes the value of my scooter go up.
I got a biography on Henry Kissinger. It's interesting so far!
Kirsten cooked me dinner last night. It was some kind of alfredo chicken. I loved it! I usually don't like alfredo sauce very much, but this was really delicious. I told her to make a bunch extra so I can have it for lunch today, too.
I bought Half-Life again and just played it through. I love that game. I was almost late for work yesterday because I got up early to play it. You know a video game is good when you get up early to play before work.
I'm going camping this weekend! I think we're going to do poker night at the picnic table around a campfire. (Assuming we can get enough people to go up camping with us.) I'm doing some research today on renting sleeping bags (I don't own one, but I have a tent...) and on camping fees up the Poudre Canyon. Man, that sounds like a sick sexual joke... "I'm going camping up the Poudre Canyon." (They pronounce it "pooter"... don't know why!)
