A Nearly-Perfect Day

Wow, I had one of the most perfect days today! I need to jot it down before heading to bed.

First, though, I forgot to mention that I had my first phone interview for a teaching position in China on Friday morning. They liked me enough to schedule a second interview for Tuesday morning. If I do well there, they might offer me a job! Then I can start solidifying the plan to move to China (dates, locations, etc.).

Soo today, I got up about 10 hours of sleep. I woke up at 9:00 and had a big breakfast. Then I played some TA and won 6 games in a row.

I cooked egg sandwiches for lunch. The sun was shining in my living room window, so I grabbed my pillow, a beer, and I laid in the sunbeams for awhile, just relaxing with a beer, and I dozed off for a nice nap in the sun.

When I woke up, I did all my laundry. I cooked a shrimp stir fry for dinner, it was amazingly delicious... one of the best meals I've ever cooked.

Then I baked some delicious sugar cookies and enjoyed another beer.

I watched a few episodes of South Park while I ironed all the clothes that I just laundered earlier. I got online and worked on my sister-in-law's website for her. I made a lot of progress on some really cool designs.

I shaved my head again, shaved my face, trimmed my little beard, and then cleaned my bathroom from top to bottom.

I chatted with a bunch of people I haven't talked to for awhile. I enjoyed a cigar at the computer while listening to the Pixies. I had a few sugar cookies in milk, and now I'm about to watch Battlestar Gallactica on my way to bed. I don't have Chinese in the morning, so I'm headed to the gym around 10:00.

Annnd ... that's it! I didn't do very much, but it was a nearly-perfect day! I loved it, I'm relaxed, I'm well-rested, well-fed, in a good mood, and things are just really coming together for my trip to China.
